The Community Resource Center in Killaloe is offering a hand to help people with their taxes.

The free income tax clinic will run for the months of March and April for those with a low or modest income. They define that as an individual earning $35,000, couples earning $45,000, with $2,500 added on per child.

Executive Director Bil Smith says the tax system can be very daunting, especially after the government subsidies distributed last year. He says the volunteers will file the returns,  and designed for people with a simple tax refund

The clinic will be done virtually over the phone. Those in Killaloe can call 613-757-3108. Those in Barry’s Bay can call 613-602-3591, and those in Whitney or Madawaska can call 613-412-9962.
