Madawaska Valley Township says property tax bills will be delayed.
They say due to an upgrade to the township’s accounting software, they will not be mailed out until next week. They have also changed the due dates for the first installment to April 30th, and the second installment to May 31st.
The Township thanks the public for their patience.
Madawaska Valley residents should see only a slight increase in their taxes this year. There will be a 2.1% increase in the municipal levy to cover the rise of inflation and reassessment of community assets. Township Treasurer Amanda Hudder says they tried to impact residents as little as possible.
