The Renfrew County District Health Unit is moving on to new groups to give out the COVID-19 Vaccine.

Those now eligible to get the vaccine include retirement home residents, essential caregivers for retirement homes, and District residents 80 years of age or older. Indigenous residents 55 years of age or older can also now access the vaccine, regardless of if they are on or off a reserve.

The Unit says this is able to happen because of regular weekly shipments of the vaccine coming to Renfrew County. However, they say vaccine appointments will be based on the number of doses the district receives each week. To register for an appointment, click here.
