The Renfrew County District vaccine communications committee has released an update to their vaccination program.
The committee will release an online, centralized vaccine booking system for all communities. Priority groups, like people over 80, will be notified as soon as details have been finalized. The Unit is asking residents to not call their primary care provider about adding their name to the list or booking an appointment.
They say while the uncertainty of getting the vaccine may be frustrating, they say any information on vaccine rollout will be announced as soon as it becomes available. The communications committee is made up of reps from Renfrew County, the Algonquins of Pikwaknagan, the Health Unit, Paramedics, and all hospitals across the district.
