Ontario reports over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases for third time this week

Ontario is reporting over 1,000 new COVID-19 cases for the third time this week.

The province added 1,054 cases on Wednesday with sixty-one per cent in the hot spots around the GTHA.

Nearly 54,900 tests were completed over the last day and 279,230 people have now recovered.

Another nine people have died across the province.

Test positivity, the percentage of tests coming back positive, is at 2.7 per cent.
