Madawaska Valley Public Library Delays Opening Due to Hotspot Status

Although the Madawaska Valley Library had plans to open this Tuesday, those have now been postponed.

The Library says they will still offer curbside pickups and take requests during the current business hours: Monday to Friday from 3:00-6:00 and Saturdays from 12:00-3:00. CEO Karen Filipknowski says the Library’s board said that the recent listening of Barry’s Bay as a COVID hotspot was a reason for the delay. She says the board will meet regularly as more information becomes available, and will reopen once case numbers go down.
