Despite some hiccups, vaccine rollout in Renfrew County is going well.
The Health Unit says that 396 people in the district have received Covid-19 vaccines. The groups who received them include residents of long term care homes, as well as employees and staff and members of Indigenous communities.
However, Acting Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Cushman says delays in delivery have affected the rollout. He says that residents should be prepared for these delays, and will release information about timelines as they become available.
Cushman thanked the community partners working on the rollout, saying they will try to be ready when the vaccines do arrive in Renfrew County.
