No set return date for in-person learning for students in southern Ontario
There’s still no word on when students in southern Ontario will head back to in-person learning.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce was short on details when asked about a return date on Monday saying he hoped to have everyone back as soon as it is safe to do so.
Lecce says he expects an announcement could be made in the next few days.
Lecce was asked if March Break will be cancelled so students can make up for lost time.
He only said parents will be given “sufficient notice” of any decision that is made.
Minister of Health Dr. David Williams says he’s “hopeful” about a possible return-to-school date of February 10th but adds it will be based on the transmission levels of COVID-19.
