A new bylaw has been introduced in Renfrew to combat messy yards.
The Clean Yards Bylaw is considered a proactive law to prohibit things like long grass, messy yards and piles of garbage.
The new bylaw was passed by Renfrew Town Council at the last meeting.
It will be enforced through bylaw officers by a complaint process as well as issues that come up on patrol.
