The Renfrew County SPCA location is getting an upgrade.

The organization says that after careful planning, the Pembroke location will be renovated. SPCA says that renovations will allow them to have a designated adoption area for dogs, among other things. Animals will be transferred to other SPCA locations while the renovations are underway. They say that the Renfrew County Animal Control Center will handle all municipal pound operations.

The SPCA is hoping to have the construction last throughout the winter months. They thank their patrons and donors for their patience.
