The Renfrew County District Health Unit has issued a travel advisory this holiday season.
They say it is important to assess the risk of contracting COVID while making holiday plans. Acting Medical officer of health Dr. Robert Cushman, says that two of the largest outbreaks in Renfrew County were the result of outside travel and that there are people who move between Renfrew County and known red zones like Toronto.
Dr. Cushman says holidays should be spent at home with members of your household and travel should be suspended. He says while there is light at the end of the tunnel with the approval of a vaccine, everyone needs to do their part in the meantime.
