Renfrew County Healthy Community Study Completes First Stage

Phase one of the Renfrew County Healthy Community study is now complete.
The purpose of the study is to improve planning and co-ordination of all components of health in the county.
During an email exchange with Moose FM, KidActive Executive Director Shawna Babcock says the first stage was about gathering local input and community engagement.
She says the completion of this stage of the study has left them with enhanced knowledge of local strength and needs as well as a model to guide them on local decision making and planning.
She says the next step in the study is developing a funding strategy as well as ongoing communication.
