School Board Staff with Ties to Madawaska Valley District High School, Sherwood Public School, Tests Positive for COVID-19

The RCDHU says a staff member who has links to Madawaska Valley District High School, Sherwood Public School and Opeongo High School has tested positive for COVID-19.

All students and staff who have been deemed to be in close contact have been given direction to go home immediately and self isolate. All the schools remain open. The RCDHU says it’s working closely with the Renfrew County District School Board to ensure necessary measures continue to be in place to protect staff, students and the public.

All high-risk contacts are to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and not return to work or school, even if the result comes back negative.
