Laurentian Valley is beaming over their new LED streetlights.
During their last meeting, council was briefed on the program so far.
For the first three months of having the lights, the township saved almost half the cost of the incandescent bulbs.
That translates into a savings of just over $1,700 per month.
Council estimates they will save $30,000 a year on energy costs.
The project cost Laurentian Valley $95,000, and council thinks it will take a little over three years to break even.
