It’s close to a record high number of COVID-19 cases in Ontario.
The province reported 1,242 cases on Monday, just a bit below the record number of 1,328 reported on Sunday.
Seventy-six per cent of the new cases are in the hot spots around the GTHA and Ottawa.

There are 821 more resolved cases and over 28,400 tests were completed.
Twelve more people have died from the virus in Ontario bringing the death toll to 3,245.
