RCDHU Says Students in Two Schools Test Positive for COVID-19

Two schools in Renfrew County and District have declared positive coronavirus cases.

The Catholic School Board has confirmed that a student at Bishop Smith Catholic School has been lab-tested positive for COVID-19, The Renfrew County District School Board said two students at Valour JK-12  have tested positive and were contacted outside the school. The Health Unit says that there has been no indication of spread at this time at Valour. In both cases, close contacts are being informed and have been told to self-isolate.

The news comes as Renfrew County passed 100 total cases of COVID-19, totalling 103 as of November 1st. 15 of those cases are active, and all are in self-isolation. The total for Barry’s Bay and Area has remained unchanged.
