An incident over the weekend is prompting Killaloe OPP to urge people to drive their ATVs with a helmet.
On Saturday, Killaloe OPP conducted a traffic stop on Basin Depot Road. A 37 year old passenger from Pembroke was charged with passenger no helmet under the highway traffic act, and having an open container of Liquor. The 25 year old driver from Pembroke was charged with Operator no-helmet. They also were issued a three day licence suspension after they blew a warning on an alcohol screening device. Both were issued Provincial Offence Act Notices.
Killaloe OPP is reminding ATV riders to always wear an approved helmet and to drive sober while on the trails.
