COVID-19 Case Recorded at Eganville and District Public School

The Renfrew County District School Board says it has been notified of a positive case of COVID-19 in a student in Eganville and District Public School.

They say the Renfrew County District Health Unit has directed a class of students and some staff to go home and self isolate immediately. The School Board says the school remains open to in-person learning, and says they are working with the health unit to protect staff and students. They say this includes cleaning and disinfecting all items touched by the individual and removing anything that can’t be disinfected.

The School Board says the Unit will contact the parents or guardians of the student who tested positive. They say that if you are not directly contacted by the RCDHU then your child is not a close contact, but should still self monitor their child for symptoms. Parents across the board are asked to pre-screen their child for symptoms before heading to school each day.
