Police say that the risk to public safety is low after a shooting took place in the Madawaska Valley.
OPP were called out on October 2nd around 2 PM to a residence on Silas Lane. The victim received a gunshot wound while walking off trail in the area around John Watson Road. The 20 year old woman from Etobicoke was airlifted to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Renfrew County Crime Unit is investigating along with the OPP. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police.
