Madawaska Valley has been awarded over $150,000 to improve Highway 60.
The money will be coming from the Connecting Links program that aims to improve roads that connect rural communities with major highways.
The upgrades will also include drainage improvements on Opeongo Line from Bay Street to Arena Road.
In a release, Mayor Kim Love says that Highway 60 remains a critical link for every one of the municipality’s drivers.
In Pembroke, Paul Martin Drive will also benefit from the program with a $3-million grant.
