Renfrew County Marks Five Years Since Borutski Murders

Today marks 5 years since Basil Borutski took the lives of three women in Renfrew County.

Carol Culleton, Anastasia Kuzyk and Nathalie Warmerdam were killed by Borutski in 2015 at their residences in Combermere, Wilno and Foymount. Borutski is currently serving three consecutive life sentences with no chance of parole.

An inquest was ordered by the Ontario Coroner’s Office into the deaths of the three women last year.   The inquest is investigating the circumstances around the three womens’ deaths and give recommendations to prevent further tragedies from happening again. Renfrew County had requested the inquest be held in the area.
