Senior Housing Strategy to be Developed by Renfrew County, City of Pembroke

The two governments have hired Re/fact consulting to lead a review of seniors services across the county that they hope will lead to a strategy that will improve senior’s housing options. The review will include examining services delivered to seniors, like assisted living and long term care. The county says the consulting team will reach out to as many community stakeholders as possible.

Warden Debbie Robinson says the county looks forward to gathering information from municipalities, housing providers and agencies to bring as much insight to senior’s care as possible. She said that the review is in response to the wait list at the two county-run long term care homes, and the growth of the senior population in Renfrew County.
