Two people have been displaced after a house fire in Pembroke.
More than a dozen firefighters responded to the call on Francis Street on Tuesday afternoon.
The owner of the house returned home to find it on fire.
Although no one was home at the time, there were several pets inside.
Firefighters were able to rescue a dog, but several other pets died in the fire.
The fire was contained quickly, but there was extensive damage to the second floor area.
Red Cross is assisting the family for their immediate needs.
