With masks now mandatory in public spaces, the Renfrew County District Health Unit is providing resources to help businesses and the public understand what is required of them.
The RCDHU has developed a Covid-19 information Toolkit for business operations to answer lingering questions. The toolkit includes directions, guidance documents, fact sheets and an FAQ. The toolkit also lists the requirements and responsibilities of businesses to ensure face coverings and mask meet regulations. They say this is done for the protection of both staff and clients. On top of that, the RCDHU says businesses are responsible for screening employees and customers, as well as positing signage, providing hand sanitizers, and training staff.
The Unit says that the requirements about face mask usage apply to all businesses across Renfrew County District. This includes retail, personal services like hair and nail salons, restaurants, food services and transportation services. They also say that specific guidance to your business will be available as well.
