The intersection of Black Bay Road and Petawawa Boulevard is getting an oversized stopsign.
Petawawa police made the request in February for an over-sized sign with a flashing light.
The sign was approved, but in order to have the flashing light, Renfrew County has requested a collision history at the intersection.
Council has since sent a request to the county asking for the light regardless of the history.
They counter that the idea of preventative measures is to make sure they do not have a history of collisions there.
