Local MPP Weighs In On Guaranteed Income

A local MPP is interested to see how a pilot project to provide some Ontarians with a guaranteed minimum income will pan out.
MPP for Prince Edward Hastings, Todd Smith, says the project would do away with social programs in the province, and would provide people who qualify with an income they count on.
Smith says he wonders if people have more money in their pocket, will it also mean they will spend more?

Smith says the provincial government is still looking into how to go about the guaranteed minimum income program, and where it will look into conducting the pilot project.
