Get Tested for COVID-19, Even If You Have One Symptom, Says RCDHU

With stage two of Ontario Reopening underway, the Renfrew County District Health Unit is urging people to get tested for Covid-19, even if you display one symptom.
They say if you develop symptoms like a fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, muscle ache, headache, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing to consider getting tested. They then say to get a test at a drive-through clinic, go home and self isolate unless you are getting tested. RCDHU says to identify close contacts you had interaction with in the last 48 hours before your symptoms began. The unit then wants those people to self isolate and monitor their health.
The Health Unit says that if you have internet access you can monitor your results through Ontario’s Online Portal. They say it can take 4 to 10 days for results to be available. Any resident of Renfrew County looking to get tested should contact RCVTAC at 1-844-727-6404.
They also add that because of the increase in testing, the Unit does not have the capacity to call back residents if they get a negative test result. They say that in this case, no news is good news.
