A man from Madawaska Valley Township has been charged with a slew of counts.
On Friday May 1st members of the OPP and Renfrew County Crime Unit began an investigation into a sexual assault that had occurred at a residence in Madawaska Valley Township. As a result of the investigation, a 73 year old from Madawaska Valley has been charged with Sexual Assault and Bestiality. The accused has also been charged with three counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and three counts unauthorized possession of firearm or ammunition.
The name of the accused was withheld to protect the victim. The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in the criminal court in Killaloe on August 12th.
