Horton Beach For Sale

Outstanding debt from the building of the Horton Rink roof and the expansion of the community hall has Horton looking at selling off beach property.
Horton is facing a debt of over $110,000, but according to three real estate agents, the beach property would yield less than $100,000.
At the last town council meeting, Deputy Mayor Robert Johnston said they should consider marketing the beach to surrounding landowners.
He says the idea of a public access there may drive up the asking price rather than have it turned into an advertised public beach.
