A Renfrew County employee that works at Bonnechere Manor has tested positive for COVID-19

Due to increased swab and lab capacity, the County says that they were increasing testing. Previously only people who showed symptoms of the Cornonavirus were tested. It was during these tests that the positive case was found.  The staff member is currently in isolation at home to prevent the spread of infection to others. Warden Debbie Robinson relayed her best wishes to the patient and wishes them a speedy recovery.

As a result, the County of Renfrew has notified those who the employee was in contact with. They say they continue to maintain rigorous infection management and are working with the RCDHU to make sure that every safety protocol is followed. The County says they are taking every precaution to protect the health of the residents of the Manor.

Renfrew County says they thank the public for their understanding, and assures the public that they are making the best decisions possible for their residents.
