The 10th annual Earth Hour is taking place across the globe tomorrow night.
Deputy Reeve of Highlands East and Chair of the Environment Committee, Suzanne Partridge, says you are being asked to go without electricity for an hour.
Partridge says the goal is to send a message to the Federal Government of energy consumption, but there is a personal element to it as well.

By taking part, you will have to find other light sources.
Fire Prevention Officer with the North Hastings Fire Service, Matt Musclow, says fires from candles are on the rise.
Musclow says there are other ways to get light during the hour without power.

Earth Hour is taking place tomorrow night from 8:30 to 9:30.
