Head, Clara and Maria has responded to an offer of training by Bonnechere Valley Fire Chief Dave Murphy.
Murphy sent the offer to HCM mayor Jim Gibson around the beginning of the month as a plan to deal with extrication services on Highway 17.
At that time, Bonnechere Valley Mayor Jennifer Murphy told Moose FM News that it was a simple fix.
Mayor Gibson told the Daily Observer that he considered the issue very complicated, and that the idea was down at the bottom of the list for possibilities.
He is still waiting back to hear from other municipalities that he has approached for assistance.
In the meantime, the 30 kilometer stretch of Highway 17 still sits with no extrication services to help if there is a serious accident.
