Residents are putting in good work for halting the spread of COVID-19, according to the Renfrew County District Health Unit

Medical officer of health at the Unit Dr. Robert Cushman says the actions being taken by residents in Renfrew County are making a big difference. But he says he encourages everyone to continue doing what they can to slow the spread of the virus. The comments were made as the state of emergency for the province was extended for another 28 days.

Dr. Cushman reminds residents that we are safe in our homes, not stuck in our homes, and encourages healthy people who are not self isolating to get some time outdoors while also practising physical distancing. The Health Unit once again reminds residents to avoid non-essential travel, avoid visits to the elderly, wash your hands frequently, cover your mouth with your elbow when you sneeze or cough, and avoid touching your face unless you have just washed your hands.
