Barry’s Bay BIA Cancels Bay Day Celebrations Over COVID-19 Concerns

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic, Barry’s Bay BIA has decided to cancel Bay Day for 2020.

BIA Chair Derek Yuill says the decision was made to ensure they were doing everything possible to keep the community safe. He says that events like Bay Day would create crowds that would not allow for physical distancing. The BIA have not as of yet planned an alternative event. They are however continuing with plans for Bay Day next year.

The BIA says that their hanging baskets and planter projects will continued. Yuill says he hopes they will bring some colour during this difficult time.
