Renfrew County District Health Unit is urging people to continue physical distancing this Easter Weekend.

They once again say to stay home and not plan any events for people who do not live in the household. They say that means cancelling or postponing events like Easter dinners and traditional ceremonies. However, the unit encourages people to connect with friends, family and faith by hosting virtual meetings and dinners through telephone and online video chatting.

They say that unless those who are in isolation or feeling unwell, they can still go outside for walks. They say to avoid crowds and maintain a two meter distance from one another when outdoors. The Health Unit also reminds residents to limit their grocery shopping to no more than once a week. They say to avoid non-essential trips into the community, keep windows down if you are travelling by taxi or ride share, and to avoid visiting long term care homes, retirement homes, hospitals or other care settings.

They also say if you are awaiting your COVID-19 test results, you can now access them online by going to the health unit website. For more information, visit the RCDHU Website
