Killaloe OPP is reminding people to stay safe during March Break.
Police released a few tips so parents and children can safely enjoy the week off from school.
They say to know your limits by planning activities that match your experience, skills and fitness level.
If hiking is on your list of things to do, make sure you leave a route plan with a friend or family member, in case they need to find you.
Make sure to always have a cell phone on you for emergency calls and to stay in one place if you are lost.
They also urge hikers to bring an emergency kit, including first aid, extra food, navigational tools and a whistle.
