St. Francis Memorial Hospital Putting Out A Call For More Supplies

To be prepared for future demand, St Francis Hospital is asking for supply donations from the community.

The hospital says that currently there are sufficient supplies to meet the needs of staff and physicians. In order to be prepared, they are asking for personal protection equipment as a priority.

These include isolation or procedure masks, N95 Masks, non-latex and Nitrile gloves and isolation gowns. There is also a call for disinfectant wipes, protective visors, safety goggles and hand sanitizer. They also say that sewing fabric masks will help and will be used in appropriate circumstances.

They ask that if you have unused or unopened supplies to donate, or are able to sew masks, to contact the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation at 613-585-0518 to make arrangements or to email [email protected].

St. Francis says that they are grateful to those businesses and individuals that have already donated. They also ask everyone to do their part to minimize the spread of the virus by following good personal hygiene, engage in physical distancing, self isolating and self monitoring for symptoms.
