Most stores will remain open in Barry’s Bay, according to the town’s BIA.
The groups does say, however, that there will be a high focus on sanitation for the health and safety of customers and employees. The BIA says they are very fortunate to live in a lightly populated rural community with two grocery stores. They say that while there may be a limited variety on some products, there continues to be a large selection with new stock arriving daily. The BIA continues to encourage residents and businesses to follow Ontario guidelines for hand washing and social distancing. They also ask for the public’s continued patience through this time.

Meanwhile, Tim Hortons will only operate as a take-out restaurant until further notice. That is the word from the franchises’ head office that are doing this to help curb the spread of COVID-19.  Barry’s Bay Tim Horton’s Owner Jason Armstrong says that their front counter remains fully open to serve take out orders, and drive thru will remain open as well.

In Addition, Spectacle Lake Lodge will close from March 16th till April 2nd. They say they hope to be open in time for their Chinese Buffet and encourage customers to make reservations.
