A winter weather storm watch has been issued for Renfrew County and area.
Environment Canada says that light snow is expected to develop overnight and move north-east one Wednesday. Heavy snow is expected late in the day and will continue through Wednesday night before becoming flurries on Thursday. They say total snowfall accumulation is uncertain at this time, but 20-30 centimeters is anticipated.
They say that drivers should be prepared for poor conditions and heavy snow that accumulates quickly. They say to avoid travel is possible.
