The Township of North Algona Wilberforce says despite the Golden Lake Community Group’s decision to halt the planning of their 2020 calendar, they still support the group financially.
The township says they received a request through the Community Grant Application process for in-kind or free use of the Golden Lake Community Centre. They say that the township did not approve the facility’s free use, but did approve a $300 cash contribution for hall rentals. The Township says that the group was at no time denied use of the facilities and was invited to book the requested dates.
The Community Group has yet to make a decision on how to move forward.
