Upper Ottawa Valley OPP are investigating a series of suspicious fires that were lit at the same location.
The first occurred in the parking lot of an apartment building on Bennett street in Pembroke late November. The fire was lit in construction debris in a utility trailer in the parking lot. A second fire was extinguished on December 26th at the same location. It was lit in a recycling shed and caused approximately 20 thousand dollars in damages.
Police say that camera footage found a small, light coloured sedan travelling on Bennett Street around the time of both fires. Police say the sedan was travelling towards Boundary Road at the time.
OPP are asking people living in the area to report any suspicious activity. They say that while no one has been hurt because of these incidents, there is still a concern for public safety. Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call police.
