Hastings Highlands’ Treasurer David Stewart has a new partner to help him with his duties at the municipality as Tanya Dickinson has been brought on as their new Deputy Treasurer.

“Tanya was born and raised in Hastings Highlands and always knew she wanted a career in the public sector in the community where she was born and raised,” the municipality says. She previously worked as the Finance Manager for North Hastings Community Integration Association. She’s also done work for Hastings County Community and Human Social Services.

“Council has identified the need for a roadmap for what the future of human capital is for the municipality,” Stewart explains.

Mayor Vic Bodnar says he and council are excited to have her on the team and look forward to working with her.

She’s slated to start December 9th and the municipality explains she will be responsible for assisting with the coordinating and managing the municipality’s operating and capital budgets, property tax billing and collection function, managing the day-to-day administration of the department, developing procedures, completion of special projects and management of the financial accounting systems.
