An underage driver has been charged with multiple offences after failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
Upper Ottawa OPP responded to a fail-to-remain collision involving two vehicles in the city of Pembroke on Sunday. The suspect failed to remain after colliding with a parked car on Renfrew street. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was returned to the scene with a parent. The police concluded that the 14 year old youth had been joyriding with a friend at the time of the collision.
As a result, the youth has been charged with Driving a motor vehicle with no licence, careless driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. The accused will appear in court on December 9th.
