Army Helicopter Exercises Going On Over Cobden This Week

If you hear helicopter sounds over Cobden, it’s the army, and they’re training.
The Canadian Special Operations Forces Command is conducting helicopter training exercises up until Sunday. They say the training will involve CH-146 Griffon helicopters. Flyovers are going to happen daily between 11 AM and Midnight. The army says that during this time, residents of Cobden, Beachburg and Fort Coulonge will experience periods of increased noise. They also say that low-level flying over populated areas will be restricted where possible.
CANSOFCOM says it is thankful for the support and understanding of the local residents. They also say they always plan training in a way to minimize disturbances whenever possible.
