A massive raid has yielded a large quantity of drugs and weapons from a residence in Pembroke.
OPP raided a residence that had, among other weapons, a defunct rocket Launcher. The warrant was executed by the OPP on Christie Street on November 14th. The OPP brought out multiple units, including the Street Crime Unit, the Emergency Response Team, and Tactics and Rescue. In addition to the rocket launcher, which the police called “inert”, officers say they seized numberous firearms, a number of prohibited devices. Officers also say the seized a quantity of illicit drugs.
A 27 year old from Pembroke has been charged with Importing a firearm knowing it was unauthorised. He has also been charged with unauthorised possession of a weapon. OPP say that they are still continuing their investigation, and are expecting even more charges to be laid. The accused remains in custody and will appear in court on Monday.
