The winter and holiday season is almost here and the Ontario SPCA and the Humane Society are kicking off their iAdopt for the Holidays campaign.

The program runs until December 31st and the SPCA and Humane Society are asking people to consider giving the gift of adoption to one of the many animals in their care.

According to the press release, those interested in adopting go through a science-based meet your match program. This program takes your personality and lifestyle then pairs it with the right animal for you.

The adoption process is used at all 12 Ontario and Humane Society animal centers across the province, and both animal care organizations say the method ensures that no matter what animal you are looking for, you are paired with the one that matches who you are.

Last year’s iAdopt campaign found over 3,600 animals across Canada their new homes and each cat and dog are spayed or neutered, microchipped, have received their vaccinations and come with a gift of one month of pet insurance.

Any person that adopts a pet during the campaign is entered into a draw that gives free pet food for a year.

If you have already adopted a pet or you are interested in doing so, you can visit iAdopt and find out how you can win a $500.00 PetSmart gift card.
