A dramatic robbery from the Chalk River Legion has lead OPP to seek the public’s help.

OPP were called to the Legion at 7:30 AM on November 10th. Police say that a suspect or suspects used a front end loader to drive through the Legion’s front doors. They say that the loader was stolen from a landfill site on Baggs Road. They say the break in occurred at 2 AM that morning. Police say that after gaining access to the building, the suspect or suspects used the loader to haul away an ATM. The loader was found abandoned a short distance away. The ATM has not been recovered. No word on how much money was stolen.

OPP are asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley branch or Pembroke/Renfrew Crime Stoppers.
