Paramedics Issue Being Resolved

An Ottawa councillor is addressing the concerns over Renfrew County paramedics covering for rural Ottawa shortfalls in service.
McNab Braeside Councillor Scott Brum requested that Ottawa increase the staffing on their fleet of ambulances by four.
Ottawa Ward Five Councillor Eli El-Chantiry has responded by introducing a motion at Ottawa City Council to increase paramedics by 12 and the number of ambulances by four.
Brum’s concern is that if Ottawa ambulances in the west end are busy, West Carleton would need to be serviced by Renfrew County paramedic services.
That would leave Arnprior without enough emergency services.
