Threats to Madawaska Valley District High School made in September have warranted no charges, according to OPP.

The Killaloe detachment says that on September 27 at around 8 AM they received reports of a threatening call at MVDHS. Police say they received cooperation and assistance from the Renfrew County District School Board. The force concluded that no criminal charges were warranted. They say that while the matter was under investigation the appropriate safety measures were engaged.

OPP say that they take all public safety threats seriously. They also say that police and officials from the school continue to work together to provide a safe learning environment for students and teachers.
