Renfrew County Council Wants Borutski Murder Inquest to be Held in the County

Renfrew County Council will ask the Coroner’s Office to hold its inquiry into the murders victims of Basil Borutski in the County.

Admaston/Bromley Mayor Michael Donohue tabled the motion in the council’s monthly meeting on Wednesday. The vote was passed unanimously by council in a recorded vote. Donohue said that the County should officially send a letter to the Corner’s Office to request the location be held somewhere in Renfrew County.

In his statement at council, Donohue said it was “particularly offensive” that the inquest could be held anywhere else than where the murders had happened. He said his township has already sent letters to the chief coroner and regional supervising coroner about the issue.

The inquest will surround the murders of Anastasia Kuzyk, Nathalie Warmerdam and Carol Culleton. A jury will make recommendations in the hopes of preventing further murders.
